5 Years of Adult Backyard Hockey!

This year marks the 5-year BHL Anniversary, starting in 2021, we started the Adult Backyard Hockey League and this year we'll expand to six leagues including Learn to Play, Girls, 12-14 Kids, 18U Kids, and Adult Wed and Thur leagues!
BHL 5 Year Club - Players that played at least one game all five years!
If these players play at least one game in 2025, they'll earn the 5-year Achievement on the website!

Adult Backyard Hockey Now on Wed and Thur

The 2024 Summer season has started, we had a great Game 1 and cool weather for the first game of the season!
Announcement: Due to high demand, we've added a second night for adult players with games now on Wed and Thur nights at 8:30PM, every week through September 12th!

Weather permitting, we'll start the Adult Backyard Hockey League on Thursday April 25 at 8:30PM, every Thursday through September 12th.

Live Band @ Backyard Hockey!

For the first time ever, we're excited to announce Cam and the Hat Tricks will be playing live on August 10th during the Girls, Kids, and Adult Games! Don't miss out on this awesome game with live band to rally the teams live!

New Game Start Times starting July 6th!

To better accomodate families commuting for the Girls league after work and to play at cooler temperatures for the summer heat, we are adjusting all game start times as follows starting July 6, 2023:

New Start Times

• Girls League: 6:30PM - 7:25PM
• Kids League: 7:30PM - 8:50PM
• Adult League: 9PM - 10:15PM

New Features

Adult Summer 2023 has started!

Adult Games 1 and 2 are in the books for Summer 2023, with Game 1 ending 41-35 Dark, while Game 2 was a nailbiter one-goal game to the very end 30-29 Dark.

Next Season Coming Soon!

The Summer 2023 season is coming starting April / May 2023 or once it gets sunny and warm.

Summer 2022 Championship Recap

Kudos to the light team for the championship win 40-33, with strong performances by Mike Pace with 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points, Roland Hui with 12 goals and 4 assists for 16 points, and Ken Pennington shutting down dark while getting two assists. Championship - Game Details.

Summer 2022 Season Awards

Summer 2022 Season awards had Mike Pace win the League MVP, Rocket Richard (most goals), and Art Ross (most points) in a season! Kudos to Kyle Finn and Shon Smith who tied for the Norris Trophy (best Defenseman), and Olivier Tritschler for winning the Vezina (best goalie).
