A: The 14+ Kids Backyard Hockey League is an 'unofficial' roller hockey league for kids ages ~13-15 that plays in Issaquah, Washington. There is also the new 8U Girls Roller and 10-12 Kids roller hockey leagues both starting this year.

A: The skill level varies widely with some kids having experience playing in the Sno-King ice hockey hockey league to brand new players. Since teams rosters change based on who can attend, teams are set each game to balance skill level and we will rebalance teams mid-game if needed.

A: If you know how to play ice hockey, your skills will easily transfer to roller hockey.

A: The priority is safety so we require full cage helmets, elbow pads, shin pads, gloves and a cup (if appropriate). We have four youth Medium/Large loaner helmets for those that don't have helmets. Goalies typically wear full goalie gear and hard-toe boots (instead of skates).
